Burkina Faso travel guide

bradt travel guide.jpg A few weeks ago, I wrote about the tourism potential of Burkina Faso. Well, I have just discovered and bought the new Bradt travel guide to Burkina Faso.

At first look, it appears accurate, and certainly much more in-depth than the Lonely Planet or other alternatives. I'm looking forward to reading it more, and seeing how it matches up.

I found the Bradt travel guide to Rwanda an excellent resource when I was there. Unlike most travel guides, Bradt seems to do plenty of commentary on the social and environmental aspects of travel talking about not only the history and traditional culture, but about some of the micro- and macro-enterprises seeking to protect and develop the land and its people.
