Flying visits
Lynne has two weeks break from her studies coming up, and we will be using it to make some flying visits, including a week in Burkina Faso!
After that we will be back to Scotland and Wales for a few days:
2-9 April: Burkina Faso
This is a very short trip, but there is a lot going on at the moment, and we feel we really need to get to Gorom-Gorom to keep a handle on all that is developing:
- Gorom-Gorom School Building has started on the teachers' housing for the Gorom-Gorom School. We also hope that building will start on the first three classrooms before we go out in July, and we will be pursuing discussions to facilitate this. We want to see how the building is going, and catch up with how the two existing classes of children are progressing in their studies.
- "Our" House and Office. Building has also started on the house and office in the Gorom-Gorom Ministry Centre that is to become our home. It will be great to see it taking shape!
- Church Partnerships and Ongoing Ministry. Seydou, Pierre, Pascal, Adama, Samuel, Jean, and the other pastor-missionaries are continuing to reach out into their communities. Some of them had a great week of outreach recently into some Songhai villages where new cell churches are starting. Two new pastors-missionaries are preparing to move into the area. Another pastor is starting Aids awareness campaigns together with the local health centre. We want to continue to support them in all they are doing, and find ways of improving the communication and links with the churches that are partnered with them in the UK, US, and France.
- Accounts and Admin The end of the financial year is approaching, and we need to make sure we have a good handle on how we are doing financially.
10-18 April: UK
We will be back to visit our home churches in Scotland first, then Wales, just for a few days in each:
- 11 April: speaking at Mossvale Community Church, Paisley
- 18 April: speaking at Glenwood Church, Cardiff
We value your prayers for this time. Thank you.
