Fulani Bible School to Open in Burkina Faso!

SIM will be starting the first ever Fulani Bible School in Burkina Faso this August!

bible school teachers.jpgIt will be called the "Ecole Biblique Duroowo Lobbo" (Good Shepherd Bible School, reflecting both the Shepherd heart of Jesus, and the herding heritage of the Fulani.

There is a small and growing community of Fulani believers in Burkina Faso, and Fulani in different denominational churches are serving the Lord. But until now those who wanted to go to Bible School either had to do so in another language, or go to a neighbouring country. This will be an opportunity for them to deepen their knowledge of the word of God and develop their ministry in their own language and country. Four families are enrolled for the first year.

The leadership team for the Bible School will include Fulani pastors (including Sumaila above with his family), national pastors from other ethnic groups, and ex-pat missionaries.

Thank God with us for this development, and please ask him to bless the preparations and to use the Bible School to further his purposes among the Fulani in Burkina Faso. Thank you.
