Give a personality to inanimate objects
You know those greetings cards which have animals or people with protruding plastic eyes? I needed to buy some of those eyes today - it took me 15 minutes to track them down on the internet.
First I tried a Google search on 'boggle eyes'. Nothing useful there. Then I tried AltaVista with 'plastic glue-on eyes'. From this I learned only that plastic glue-on eyes are 'available from craft stores'. I tried various online craft stores to no avail. Finally I hit lucky on EBAY with a search on 'joggle eyes' - it immediately came up with this item.

So there you have it. For less than 2 quid you can give a personality to 60 inanimate objects. But the important question is this: if a single standard name were given to these eyes, what should it be??
